Public section

Goal ?

Allowing student prospects to get informed on your school, without having to log in !

How ?

By making content available, from My AppScho, to unauthentified users (who are not registered as students in your school, or are simply not logged in)

From My AppScho's back-office, you have the capacity to add content to the public section via the Knowledge base and other functionalities (please tell us which sections you'd like to see in the public section beforehand).

Enriching the public section with the Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base functionality (see Knowledge Base functionality) directly editable from the back-office is available for you to promote practical and key information concerning your school.

The “Root” of the KB (introduction/about) is always visible. Hence, it will be available in both the public and private section (authentified).

Aside from the "Root" part, it's important to promote useful information to your student prospects !

The categories and sub-categories you'll have created on My AppScho will be visible on the public section if you select the appropriate visibility.

The sub-categories are contained in their parent categories (as in the image below) and are also editable from the back-office.

Example below :

In the "About” category you'll find the sub-categories “Informations logements” et “Informations bourse”. Those are visible from the public section which means the visibility has been set to "Everyone", "Public users only" or "Custom profiles".

Types of visibility for the public section

From the back-office, you have the possiblity to select different kinds of visibility for the categories, sub-categories (content) to be displayed in the public section :

  • Everyone : Everyone can have access in both the public and private section.

  • Public users only : Only users not logged in can see the content.

  • Custom profiles : Only the users who have selected custom profiles can see the content.

Aside from the Knowledge Base, you can choose the functionalities you may want to add in the public section.

Example of functionalities that can be displayed in the public section :

  • Events

  • News (press articles for example)

  • Social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube).

  • Contacts (quick access, campus information).

  • Campus maps

  • Transport schedule

  • Push messages sent by the administration (messages, surveys, questions)

  • Satisfaction surveys sent by the administration
